Something wrong, or just not sure how something works? Here’s where to go.

Everyone: bugs and ideas on GitHub

Time&I is developed in the open at github.com/andeyePro/timeandeye. Found a bug, or have an idea for a feature? That’s the place, and it’s free for everyone, no andeyePro subscription needed.

You don’t need to be a developer to use it. Here’s the walkthrough:

1. Make a free GitHub account, if you don’t already have one - go to github.com/signup and follow the prompts.
2. Go to the timeandeye repository: github.com/andeyePro/timeandeye.
3. Pick Issues or Discussions, near the top of the page.
   • Something is broken, or behaving in a way it shouldn’t - open an Issue. Click New issue and describe what happened.
   • You have a question, or an idea for something andeye could do - open a Discussion instead. It’s a friendlier space for “what if” and “how do I”.
4. Write it up. For a bug, the more detail the better - but even a rough description is worth posting. If you can, include:
   • Your macOS version (Apple menu ▸ About This Mac).
   • Your Time&I version (open Settings from the Time&I menu - it’s shown at the top).
   • What you expected to happen.
   • What actually happened instead.
5. Click Submit. Someone will read it - often quickly, sometimes it takes a few days if it’s a quiet week.

That’s genuinely it. You’re not bothering anyone; this is what the GitHub page is there for.

andeyePro: a fast, personal reply

If you’re an andeyePro subscriber, you don’t need to go via GitHub at all - send your question through the contact form and you’ll get a reply by email quickly. This is the supported channel that comes with a Pro subscription: a real person, answering your specific question about your setup.

Why the difference exists

andeye’s tracker is free forever, and so is the community help on GitHub - reading an issue, answering a question, fixing a bug, all of that costs nothing to ask for. Sitting down and answering you, personally, by email, takes real time on someone’s part, and that’s one of the things an andeyePro subscription pays for.
